Hardware Overview

  • Package Contents: Includes the Zebra printer, power cable, and adapter.
  • Control Buttons: The Power and Feed buttons are located on the front.
  • Access Latches: Orange opening latches are located on both sides.
  • Rear Ports: Features a USB port (left), LAN port (middle), and Power port (right).

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Physical Connection

  • Connect the LAN cable to the middle port on the back of the printer.
  • Connect the Power cable to the port on the far right.
  • Ensure the other end of the LAN cable is connected to your internet router or network switch.

2. Loading Media (Label Roll)

  • Open the Printer: Pull the orange latches on both sides of the printer simultaneously to flip the lid open.
  • Adjust Dividers: Slide the middle orange dividers to match the width of your label roll.
  • Insert Roll: Slot the roll inside, ensuring the labels are routed forward toward the front of the printer.
  • Lock Position: Push down on the grey lock to secure the width of the dividers.
  • Close: Press the lid down firmly until it clicks into place.

3. Power & Calibration

  • Power On: Press the power button once. Wait for a stable green light to appear.
  • Calibrate: Press the Feed button once. This allows the printer to automatically detect and calibrate to the size of the paper roll.

4. Network Verification

  • Check Port Lights: Look at the LAN port on the back; you should see a green and yellow light, indicating an active connection.
  • Print Status Label: To confirm the network IP address:
  • Press and hold the Feed button until the green light blinks once, then release.
  • The printer will print a status label. Look for the IP address on the label. If an IP is visible, the printer is successfully connected to your network.

5. Integrating with Foodhub EPOS

Once the printer is on the network, you must add it to your Foodhub EPOS system;

  1. Open your EPOS settings.
  2. Navigate to the printer configuration section.
  3. Add the printer using the IP address printed in the previous step.
